2003

In 2002, the board of AACUC decided there was a need to have a 501c3 to enhance fundraising efforts. The designation was received from the IRS in May 2003. Under the leadership of Helen Godfrey-Smith, AACUC applied for a 501c3 non-profit designation. After months and months of sending information to the IRS and proving the work and support AACUC delivers, the 501c3 was granting to AACUC in 2003.
